We knew we could not see the whole of Louvre and we decided to spend two evenings there. We followed one of the trails provided by Lourve; Masterpieces, in Search of Ideal Beauty.
The Louvre started as a fortress and then a Royal Palace before it was turned into a museum when the French Monarchy moved to Versailles in 1793.
The estimated time of the trail was 1 hour 30 mins. We could not complete the trail because each section is so big with so many things to see and not to mention getting lost along the way.
